The evil general Master Zaros must interrupt the Gurdark's conquest of Earth to retrieve his dominatrix fiancee Madame Mayura, queen and commander of the Gurdark. She underwent a horrible personality change when her forehead horn was broken off during a battle. She's become an adorably cute man-pleaser. That's not the worst part. Mayura has a schoolgirl crush on Yuji Midorikawa or G-Green, and he's a power ranger for the Gakusei 5 (G5) who are Earth's defenders. Another romantic complication, G-Green likes Momoyama or G-Pink, the only female G5 member.
Mayura makes Valentine's Day chocolate for Yuji, but it's an uncharacteristic green color: "Mayura's special-made fighting chocolate! If you're a man, you have to eat it before it … eats you!" After she chastely kisses Yuji, she makes a promise to Yuji that horrifies him as an earthling but is sweetly romantic for the Alexis the Great she really is. Oh, is that Master Zaros sulking in a mushroom-filled corner?
Plenty of weird, fun images, e.g., the spotted mushrooms sprouting all over Kimoto or G-Yellow's massive, almost fully stripped body, or the vicious Venus's-mantrap chocolate. On page 101, there's Mayura and Zaros looking like two teary-eyed lovers uttering tender goodbyes, only Mayura's line turns the scene into a parody.
Because of Gureko Nankin's sexy and comic character designs, naughty panels, and generous humor, Imperfect Hero could be your perfect bedtime reading. It would be even more fun to role-play.
