On the front cover of Journal of the Vampire Hunter [1]: Claws of Darkness, volume 4, Nicholas Bane's profile is ironically framed by the "fishing hook" he uses to decapitate vampires. On the reverse side, the American dhampir is shown standing between a familiar group of Mexican drug lords and the vengeful wolf-like monster Jubile Aztel has become; behind them all are sad columns of crosses running to the horizon.
Nicholas Bane has accepted an invitation to visit Santa Anna drug lord Gino Carlos who wants the vampire hunter to knock off someone for him. Nicholas strikes a deal with Gino in order to collect more information on him.
But a trap has been set for Gino Carlos by three other drug lords. Can he walk away alive from an upcoming meeting as he has from previous assassination attempts?
At her boss's villa, Gino's mistress Simone, wearing nothing more than a black bikini and a cheesy feathered headdress, tries to seduce our hero. Nicholas just wants her head. A whirling tornado of demon-eyed bats is set loose upon him.
The horrific and bloody Claws of Darkness is rated for ages 18-plus and is not for readers who are prone to nightmares. Vampire comic hunters, this copy's yours!
